Description
The responsibilities of an account's operations administrator include analysing all financial activities and compiling monthly reports to Managing Director, managing invoicing processes and payments, operational administrative duties such assisting in Works In Progress and processing operational expenses.
Accounts qualifications are preferable but not essential however previous experience in similar roles is a must.Duties will include but not limited to:
Ownership Operational Requirements
- Entry of all receipts and supplier invoices
- Ownership of group bank reconciliation
- Preparation of weekly payruns to suppliers, and processing them
- Assistance in preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Main point of contact for supplier queries
- Assistance to the Accountant during the month end close process
- Ownership of the structure and integrity of the account's information held with Sage accounts
- Control of operational expenses
- Working with operational departments to managing Works In Progress
Financial Control
- Ensure adequate standards of financial control are maintained efficiently for the company, including the accurate recording of daytoday accounting entries.
- Communication and Liaison
- Build and maintain solid relationships
- Promoting a 'Continuous Improvement' culture within the department.
- Keen eye for detail in examining of invoices and reports
- Participate in the preparation of the annual operating budget and financial plans
- Seek out new opportunities for improving accounts and operational practices
Qualifications
- Bookkeeping qualification preferred (AAT)
- Advanced Excel
- Preferred not essential
Essential Experience:
- Experience working within similar roles
- Management of own workload and deadlines
- Sage software experience is essential
Skills:
- Ability to Communicate at all levels
- Highly organised
- Ability to improve existing processes
- Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel
General Tasks and Duties
- Adherence to Data Protection legislation and Health and Safety requirements.
- Attend relevant training courses with colleagues where appropriate.
- Attend regular staff meetings.
- To undertake such tasks as may be required by SRC Fire Safety Limited that is consistent with the nature of this post.
Salary:
£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
