Reading

6 month contract

Office based Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Are you an experienced HR Advisor that has is capable of managing payroll both in the UK and US? Our client is a leading tech manufacturing start-up that is revolutionising the communications sector. Private equity backed and an impressive track recordover the past 2 years, they are looking for an HR professional to efficiently manage all payroll, benefits, and Visa administration.

HR Administrator

  • Prepare, compile, and input payroll data ready for monthly payroll processing for both the US and UK liaising with 3rd party payroll providers. Review and approve all journal entries and reconcile the payroll general ledger accounts. Ensuring all statutorypayments and employee voluntary payroll deductions are made.
  • Ensure US state tax certificates and information is applied for and updated when required and uploaded onto the HR system (BambooHR).
  • Ensure that all visas are applied for in a timely manner and liaise with the thirdparty immigration specialist supplying information requested as and when required. This includes any visa's that may expire, and administration required for their renewal.
  • Manage the relationship with our payroll providers and ensure that they routinely document and update all of the business's payroll procedures, including any inquiries received are either resolved or well under way to resolution.

Essential Skills/ Experience / Qualifications:


  • A degree in Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration, or a similar field/a professional certification (e.g., CPP or CPM)
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience working in a fastpaced company dealing with global payroll preparation and processing (preferably USA) and E.O.R and international payroll entity set up.
  • Knowledge of payroll policies, practices, legislation, and procedures within the UK and US.
  • Working knowledge of outsourced payroll provider preferably ADP and HRIS systems.
  • Able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and complete them in a timely manner, have excellent problemsolving skills, and demonstrate calmness in times of stress.
  • Experience of ledger reconciliations, researching variances and providing appropriate solutions for any discrepancies.
