Description
We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join a well-run and ambitious and growing Regional Contractor, based near Sonning, Oxfordshire,


They are increasingly winning multi-disciplinary projects direct from clients, and as a result they are keen to recruit an experienced Construction "Package" Estimator.

Projects are typically located across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Buckinghamshire and are in the Light Industrial, Commercial and Defence sectors with Project Values ranging from £250k up to £10 million

An interesting opportunity with an ambitious company and as Estimator your duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Initial RFI review to ensure that all of the required tender information & requirements have been established.
  • Attend client sites, as required, to gather information and develop positive relations, ensuring that both the site conditions and project requirements are fully understood.
  • Carry calculations and cost build up to produce a wellpresented bid that is both understandable to each client
  • Source and obtain external quotations for specific materials, equipment and occasional subcontract activities.
  • Put together competitive bids & estimates.
  • Contact clients, follow up and track all submissions, overcome possible objections and make any necessary bid amendments.
  • Attend tender, prestart meetings, negotiating precontract terms and conditions as well as documenting any agreements reached.
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are incorporated into all proposed activities and tender submissions.


With great long term career prospects and the chance to work on some diverse projects the role comes with a basic salary of £85k-£100k ( DOE) plus company car/car allowance, pension medical and 25 days holiday.
