About the role

The Compliance team is seeking a Compliance Controls Tester.

The role requires a tester who enjoys developing a deep understanding of compliance requirements, and conducting testing based on critical thinking, judgement and analysis to validate adherence.

This will involve the challenge of the design of the control as well as the reperformance of manual, hybrid and automated controls.

  • Managing testing schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within preestablished timeframes.
  • Analysing data from multiple sources and systematically documenting the work and results.
  • Exploring different testing techniques in order to optimise the opportunity of validation regarding control performance.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Compliance Advisors and Business Areas as needed.
  • Use new technologies or data to think about alternative ways to test the control.
  • Follow documented test plans and testing protocols, leveraging job aids as needed.
  • Assisting in communicating results to Compliance Officers.
What we're looking for

  • Experience of controls testing preferably in a financial services organisation.
  • Have an understanding of what good outcomes are for customers and be able to identify when there has been detriment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and provide appropriate challenge both verbally and in writing where required
  • Ability to document their work in order for third parties and regulators to be able to understand the conclusions
  • Able to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines for testing
  • Hold or willing to complete qualifications with the International Compliance Association
