An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time clerical officer based at University Hospital Hairmyres.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Shift patter for this post Mon -Tues and Weds


The post holder will provide comprehensive clerical support to the Radiology Department ensuring a high quality service is maintained to patients and staff.


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB


The post holder should have good keyboard skills with the ability to enter information into the computer database with speed and accuracy.

The post holder should be educated to Standard Grade level and have gained a qualification in English.

Experience in dealing with the General Public is an essential requirement for this post.


The post holder should possess good communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise the workload, use own initiative, work under pressure and as part of a team in order to accomplish all required tasks.

Flexibility, adaptability, excellent telephone manner and good timekeeping are also essential requirements for this post.


Through time the post holder will use the experience they have gained in relation to radiological examination procedures along with knowledge of departmental operational procedures and various computer systems to deal with related non-routine activities and queries, problem solving where necessary.
