Hybrid working pattern:
Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working - such as splitting work between home and office 2/3 days per week, with the focus being on achievement of work objectives.

The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our established team of cost engineers, working closely with the UK customer facing team and the wider Programmes and Technical teams to promote and encourage the consideration of cost as anessential factor in effective decision making in the development and shaping of future concepts and programmes.

This role sits within the UK Bidding and Contract Evaluation (BCE) team; the main objective of this team is to provide robust bids based upon appropriate cost estimates and commercial considerations, in support of domestic and export sales campaigns.

WithinBCE, there is a specialist cost modelling function where the vacancy has arisen.

The role also requires management and supervision of a team of 4 cost engineers and interaction with key areas of the business such as the wider BCE team and the Programmes Cost Engineering function.

What we're looking for from you:

They should also have a good understanding of cost estimating techniques and methodologies, and ideally, proven experience in use of parametric estimating tools and techniques for long term projects.

Most importantly, they should be good communicators, be proactive with the ability to influence others. They need to be commercially aware and numerate with strong analytical skills.
