Your new role

LANDCLAN support those customers who need GIS professionals as part of their business as usual activities, but where GIS might not be part of their corporate skillset.

We are building a new team to enhance existing professional service capabilities and we are looking for a hands-on team leader to start the ball rolling.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Remotely manage the customer's LANDCLAN and ESRI GIS capabilities in accordance with an established GIS strategy.
• Produce high quality GI datasets and plans in accordance with contract specifications.
• Train customers how to use LANDCLAN GIS to best effect and share best practice.
• Contribute to our FAQ and user training videos.
• Supervise and mentor junior members of the team.
• Quality assurance and data validation.

Your new team
You will be part of our operations team anchored in Belfast, but working remotely to start with. Operations support our customers directly and develop our global property and planning dataset.

Right now our team of 4 full-time and 10 consultants are fully remote working, but we will be establishing a hub in the city and expect to see you there regularly.

Joining the team behind you will be junior consultants that you will need to mould into a team.


About you

Do you enjoy diversity? You could be advising a multi-national renewables company or a major supermarket on how to find new sites and then switch to helping a local authority assess hundreds of sites for development potential.

Can you stay focussed under pressure? A utility customer needs a dozen plans to meet their KPI and their legacy data is missing or inaccurate.

We would like you to hit the ground running so experience of mapping land rights and different types of tenure is a distinct advantage.

Full training will be given on LANDCLAN and ESRI products and you will be encouraged to grow and develop as a consultant.

Key skills we would like to see:

• 5 or more years of experience of GIS in a land management, land referencing or real estate context.
• Highly skilled user of ESRI GIS products including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Going all out to achieve the customer's goals.
• Proactive communication
• Experience of prioritising workload, coordinating resources, commercial processes and collaborating with project teams
