Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work full time in an outstanding special needs school in Mitcham. This school work with all ages of students that include early years, primary, secondary and post 16 students.

As a specialistschool they pride themselves on delivering outstanding one to one support and developmental plans to students with special needs that include autism, downs syndrome, speech and language difficulties and global delay.

We are looking for teaching assistantsthat enjoy working with children and are comfortable working with special needs students.

As a teaching assistant, you will be working within small classes ranging from 6-8 students per class, where you will be supporting students one a one to one basis orcollaboratively with your class team.

You will be required to support students with speech and language, teaching vocabulary through visual resource, running numeracy sessions in a creative or visual approach and assisting in extra curricular activities suchas P.E., cooking, off site trips and sports days.

The role:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Year long placement, with the opportunity to go permanent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
