An exciting opportunity has arisen within our People Department for a HR Administrator, to be based out of our operation in the Port of Southampton.

Reporting to the Head of People UK, the HR Administrator will provide professional administrative support to the people function covering all areas of the employee life cycle.


To include duties such as:


  • Update, maintain and administer accurate HR records on our HR system, Oracle Fusion
  • Create reports and analyse data to provide key insights for the people team and other stakeholders
  • Support the Head of People UK and HRBPs coordinate meetings and events
  • Process new starters, leavers, and changes, ensuring our systems are kept up to date
  • Support the Business Partners with coordinating Learning and Development across all business units, including arranging courses with providers, apprenticeships administration, diary invites and lunch arrangements where necessary. Support in delivery where necessary and maintain accurate training records. Provide relevant reporting information as requested
  • Support the team with system implementation projects
  • Support the People team with arranging meetings in relation to sickness absence, including letter administration, diary management and minute taking. Maintain the data management of the sickness absence system, ensure the system is up to date, accurate and run regular reports.
  • Consistently look for ways to improve and streamline our processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the People team to support with any other ad hoc duties and projects

About you:


  • Demonstratable HR Administration experience
  • Must be highly proficient using excel & other Microsoft packages
  • Enjoy providing insights through analysing data
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Take a 'people driven' approach to resolving issues
  • Work using own initiative
  • Professional approach with the ability to handle sensitive issues and people data with discretion and confidentiality
