Up to £64,000 (depending on experience) + bonus & benefits

Your purpose


The Finance Solutions Senior Project Planner will be responsible for ensuring the planning and tracking of all project schedules, project resources and associated costs.

They will work closely with Finance and Technology Leadership Teams to ensure project schedules, resources, risk and costs are managed to deliver successful outcomes.

They will also review the progress of programmes on a regular cycle and produce management reporting as and when required.


Your role

  • Establish and maintain critical path and dependency analysis and milestone tracking as part of the project planning cycle.
  • Ensure the timely escalation of all relevant risks & issues to the associated steering committees.
  • Create, promote, and manage the building & maintaining of relationships with external parties, Technology functions and Finance teams to facilitate the implementation of programs in support of the agreed finance strategy.
  • Working alongside the Technology PM, the Project Planner will accurately predict and monitor the costs for each phase of the project to ensure spending stays on track and mediate any situations where approved funding is at risk.
  • Coordination of input from all project resources in tracking activities to ensure the project team is adhering to project scope. Intervening to steer back to scope and or pushing through correct Change Control framework, updating Leadership on outcome.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient and the correct project members and resources available for each stage of the project.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of project planning as this role requires the incumbent to monitor progress, identify risks and issues across multiple initiatives to assist in the delivery of successful outcomes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A good understanding of Project Management, associated principles, planning tools, and lifecycle phases
  • Excellent presentation, organisational, negotiation and leadership skills including report writing.
  • A selfmotivator with a methodical approach, a high attention to detail and good organisation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining relationships with Senior management through matrix working.
