We currently have an
exciting opportunity to join our team of Direct Payment Advisors.

Are you committed to
empowering people to personalise and self-direct their care? Do you have
exceptional organisation skills, an eye for detail, enjoy working as part of a
team and supporting people to live independently in their own home?

As a Direct Payment
Advisor you will manage a caseload and be required to provide information and
practical help to those who wish to arrange their own care and support. This involves
providing support and/or signposting to appropriate services.

You will also need to
have a good understanding of managing finances and budgets.

The role requires case

The Direct Payment
Advisor will actively promote the North Yorkshire's Direct Payment scheme to
Social Care professionals, third party organisations and individuals, to meet
needs in a person-centred way.

Your caseload will
include people with a diverse range of needs, therefore it is essential that
you can demonstrate well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and
the ability appropriately challenge, where necessary.

This role offers
opportunities for a blended approach to working, with the ability to work some
of the time from home. Travel throughout the county and an enhanced DBS
clearance will be required.

If you have
experience / interest in Social Care Direct Payments or have worked within a
Social Care team / Social Care setting, have experiences of dealing with
finances and you are looking for a new, interesting and challenging post, we
would like to hear from you

induction will be provided.
