One of the UK's leading exporters of food and drink produce, exporting an exceptional product range to businesses worldwide is currently on the look-out for a Commercial Manager to join our team.

Job Purpose:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to start their career in the accounts team.

You will be working in a fast paced environment ensuring day to day payable clerk duties are performed to a high standard, reporting to Finance Director.

You will be responsible for the processing of all supplier invoices in an efficient, effective, and accurate manner and that suppliers receive payment within established timescales, you will be a key link between accounts and buying departments.

You will be joining a small finance team with 4 staff members, and you would need to be able to cover other accounts roles occasionally.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential as your finance Director will be your mentor, and there will also be an opportunity of AAT training.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

Responsible for checking product invoices and reconciling to goods receipts.
Processing, posting, and coding purchase invoices
Dealing with supplier queries, particularly supplier claims.
Maintaining and calculating supplier rebate arrangements.
Review systems and processes and make improvements where necessary
Supplier spend reports and analysis
Other adhoc finance duties as and when required. Working within a small team so opportunities to get involved in other areas
Work alongside assistant accountant to prepare weekly payment runs and manage cashflows.
