Purpose of Position


Responsible for providing the portfolio management across all transformation change projects, this role is instrumental in the processes and governance that align with the end-to-end planning and delivery process for all initiatives, projects, and organisational change; from initial feasibility through to financial approval, design, delivery and completion, to ensure all activity is delivered on budget, on programme and to a high standard.


You will be a strong leader of people, able to inspire and encourage team work globally and have strong project or programme management and excellent organisational.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develops the Transformation vision and strategy with ExCo. ExCo is accountable for Transformation programmes.
  • Responsible for delivering the vision through the Transformation roadmap, driving delivery of the full breadth of change.
  • Responsible for identifying and securing the resources to deliver the roadmap, including operating models, processes, business change, data and technology requirements through ownership of the Transformation business case.
  • Leveraging innovation to accelerate transformation pace.
  • Working across the breadth of the business to build stakeholder engagement, and support for Transformation programmes.
  • Develop and leverage external assistance to support the programmes.
  • Building the business change strategy
  • In partnership with ExCo members and key influencers, lead the engagement activity across the business.
  • Lead the Transformation Management Office that will own the staged delivery plan, programme risk management, manage performance of the programme, leverage lessons and report on progress.
  • Dynamically manage the programme to flex progress based on delivery learning.
  • Create a culture that is psychologically safe, fails fast and celebrates success.
  • Build and mature change delivery capability in the organisation to deliver a fit for purpose, high performing change capability set the exemplar for what good looks like

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Strategic and innovative thinker; can build transformation that aligns with corporate strategies.
  • Ability to thrive when leading in ambiguous and uncertain environments.
  • Ability to create a positive, trusted and psychologically safe team environment.
  • Strong communicator across all parts of an organisation
  • Ability to build diverse teams of experts.
  • Able to maintain grip on bigger picture, whilst diving into detail when required.
  • Practical experience of enterprise architecture, operating model and technology delivery; able to combine these together into a coherent articulation of the change journey.
  • Optional formal qualification in Transformation Leadership
  • Extensive experience of delivering successful transformation programmes in large organisations, including defining best practice, assuring delivery, and turning around initiatives in difficulty
