The Communities Service are looking to recruit a part-time, Adult ESOL Worker to develop and deliver English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) learner centred programmes for Adults and Community Learning which supports learners into further education or employment.
This post will require the person to work across the Eastern Perthshire area, and the successful applicant will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
Their base will be Alyth Community Wing, St Andrew Street, Alyth, PH11 8AX.The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Develop, promote and deliver group ESOL language classes to refugees and individuals where English is not their first language, face to face and online where required.
- Deliver in rural localities in Eastern Perthshire where need has been identified
- Engage with a wide range of people and stakeholders such as community members, partners, local schools, libraries, community groups and centres
- Supervise and support ESOL volunteers
- Support collaborative and partnership working
- Build relationships with individuals, groups including community groups, local staff and partners to support engagement and learning
- Support the team in peer selfevaluation across Community Learning and Development (CLD) services with partners and communities
- Contribute to local and community planning in relation to CLD and local outcomes
You will hold a qualification in Teaching English to speakers of other languages (Cambridge English CELTA, DELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL or equivalent).

The Individual:
You must be able to travel to various rural areas within Eastern Perthshire therefore driving and access to vehicle is desireable.
