Welding Operative

Job Summary
Assembly Welding in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Standards procedures and operating within guidelines of specified products.


Main Responsibilities

  • Meet daily targets
  • Complying with all Time Keeping and Health & Safety requirements
  • Keeping work areas clean & tidy
  • Working with designated Machinery/ equipment / tools provided by the company
  • Checking the quality of all goods received before working on them and handing unsatisfactory goods back to previous department
  • Responsibility for quality will remain with you until signed off and handed on via computerised records
  • Reporting of any problem that will affect performance i.e. machinery breakdown, defective parts reported through Problem Reporting software
  • Responsible for looking after all company tools & machinery
  • Keep uniform and PPE in good condition. Work uniform must be visible at all times

General Duties

  • Welding/Fabricating all aspects of Stainless Steel & Aluminium (as described in assembly procedure)
  • Receive and put into action all written and verbal instructions
  • Welding Preparations, finishing, cleaning up as required
  • Report progress of daily duties to Supervisor
  • Storing finished items in allocated areas
  • Drill, cut & fabricate other parts as required
  • Reporting shortages in parts/equipment required to carry out your job process
  • Completing all associated paperwork/computerised records

Salary:
£12.50-£15.00 per hour
