British Gymnastics has the following permanent full time post


Coach Development Manager

37 hours per week

Salary up to £51,750 per annum (dependent upon experience)

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

This is a dual based role working from Lilleshall National Sports Centre, nr Newport, Shropshire (2 days a week) and from home with national travel as required

At the heart of that in the UK is the gymnastics community, made up ofgymnasts, parents, coaches, clubs and other venues, officials and volunteers - together they form the fabric of a sport that is woven into local communities across the country.

As the UK's national governing body for gymnastics, by working closely with ourmembers who form this community, we aim to lead, support and inspire them to help build a bright future for our sport.


We are looking to for a Coach Development Manager to join our Performance Team to support the Head of Performance Coach Development and Performance Director to contribute to the learning and development of coaches across the performance pathway.

O be successfulin the role you will require specific knowledge and experience of coach development and be able to evidence an ability to support coaches in embedding best coaching practice.


The Role

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Develop, manage and deliver a range of CPD opportunities, that will provide expert performance coach development support for the gymnastics coaching community
  • In conjunction with the Head of Performance Coach Development identify and provide bespoke development programmes that are aligned across the organisation to, individuals and coaching teams who have the potential to have the greatest impact on the strategicaims of British Gymnastics.
  • Building relationships with coaches and clubs quickly to enable meaningful coach development work to be conducted
  • LiaisewiththeBritishGymnasticsEducationDepartmenttoidentifyopportunitiesfordisseminationof information to support the development of the wider gymnastics coaching community.
  • Ensuring own and Officer's continuous professional development, including education, training and keeping up to date with best practice/trends and developments of policies to improve coach development and create a safe sport for all.

The Person

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Applied knowledge and experience of learning and professional development within a highperformance coaching environment.
  • Proven ability to quickly build and foster effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience of teaching/tutoring in a variety of environments.
  • A strong ability to plan, sustain and evaluate programmes of work.
  • An understanding of performance gymnastics and the wider performance sport landscape within the UK.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skillset of modernday working practices to avoid burnout and role model behaviours of selfcare and support others to keep our sport safe, our members and colleagues safe. sustainable working behaviours to self and others.

An Enhanced DBS will be required for the post.
