About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a communications and content advisor to work in our dedicated team, explaining our services to residents and stakeholders and promoting Cambridgeshire as an excellent place to live, work or visit.


This position would suit someone with media relations or content writing experience who's keen to take the next step in their communications career.


You will have mastered skills including marketing, campaigns, social media and events and can demonstrate success - but want to move this to the next level.


You will support a wide portfolio of media, communications and marketing activity, working with council services on targeted communications using a variety of digital and traditional media channels.

You will also be handling media enquiries on a rolling news desk rota.

This job is a flexible working role. You will be expected to work flexibly from New Shire Hall and from home e.g. 2 days a week in person working at the office and 3 days a week working from home.
