Bishopthorpe Infant School and Archbishop of York's CE Junior School work together under the leadership of one Executive Headteacher and are part of South York Multi Academy Trust.

Jointly they are committed to delivering the very best education possible to our pupils to give them a wonderful experience of their education and to equip them for their next steps.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and efficient Administrative Assistant to support an established administrative team, working across both of our schools and sites.

37 hours per week. Fixed term contract to 31st August 2024 in the first instance.

The key qualities we are looking for include:

Being an effective communicator through a variety of media
Having good attention to detail
Being able to prioritise work to meet different competing deadlines in an organised and efficient manner
Excellent admin and IT skills
To work well as part of a team
To provide leadership managing the admin function and admin team across both sites
To manage the team's workload, allocating work to others within the team and ensuring competing demands are reconciled across both sites.
Implement admin procedures from both the infants and junior settings to streamline processes and systems across both sites
The ability to use your initiative, make things happen and a confident decision maker

Experience of working in the school environment using school systems is desirable but not essential.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
