Description

Responsibilities:

Work with students with special educational needs and disabilities on a onetoone or small group basis, under the direction of the class teacher.
Provide academic, emotional and behavioural support to students.
Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
Assist with classroom management and behaviour management.
Attend and contribute to review meetings and other relevant meetings.
Liaise with parents and carers as necessary.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
Qualification in a relevant area (e.g. teaching assistant, learning support assistant, health and social care, psychology, social work).
Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
