York City FC has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual with previous relevant retail experience, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
What does the job entail?
- Be the first point of contact for all supporters, welcoming them to the Club Shop
- Manage transactions including cash and card payments
- Monitor stock levels
- Fulfil online orders
- Dealing with returns and exchanges
- Working closely with the club's Management to identify and report sales trends and opportunities
- Handle any general supporter queries
- Ensure the Club Shop remains a clean, tidy, and inviting space for supporters

About You
- Essential_
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
- Capable of delivering outstanding customer service
- Reliable and punctual
- Capable of working independently, under own initiative as well as part of a wider Club staff team
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Desirable_
- Customer service qualification(s)
- Knowledge of the football pyramid (professional, nonleague, grassroots)
