Due to our global success and subsequent growth, we are and are therefore looking for committed individuals to help shape our strategies and processes.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buying Director.


You'll make sure we deliver on our promise to customers by helping to secure exciting products at the best price.

In fact, you'll set the bar high in retailing. Our buying teams - if it's possible - must move even quicker than the rest of the business.

Andthey must keep ahead of our customers too:
second-guessing what they want and need before they do. The key objective of the role is to prepare buying decisions which develop the sales and profitability of the business considering market, qualitative and commercialfactors

As a Buying Director some of your duties will include.

  • Sourcing, Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Working collaboratively with the Global buying departments
  • Overall responsibility across multiple departments including Corporate Responsibility, Logistics and Quality.
  • Ensuring best cost prices are achieved across the department
  • Ensuring selected product lines achieve delivery timeframes whilst maintaining quality
  • Attending trade fairs / shows including international & meeting suppliers
  • Negotiating the best contracts & terms with both suppliers and providers
  • Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying team
  • Forecasting effectively
  • Working closely with the product teams to maintain quality levels within products
  • Develop the knowledge within your Buying team to ensure individuals achieve their individual career potential
Key requirements for the role.

  • Proven previous experience as Buying Director or Head of Buying within a fastmoving retail environment.
  • Experience of Global sourcing.
  • Educated to degree level essential minimum of 2:
  • Ability to develop and motivate a team is essential
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to prioritise multiple workloads essential
  • Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels
