Job description
Making markets in IG EUR Financials Credit to the firm's clients.
Management of trading book risk within defined limits.
Generate appropriate return on risk in context of market opportunity.
Maintain high level of client engagement, providing market colour, views and trade recommendations.
Maintain appropriate market share for a top tier franchise (7%).
Provide appropriate support and colour to DCM.
Assist in the delivery of technical enhancements around pricing and data capture of the business
Provides timely and accurate execution of trades for the Bank's targeted clients
Effectively maintain risk positions whilst adhering to preset risk parameters and help the trading team achieve revenue targets
Ensure timely execution and reporting of trading tickets, maintain communication with sales desk and assist in resolving settlement problems, ensure ticket entry completion and provide general trade support as necessary
Provide pricing to sales teams and clients that is in line with Bank's policies
Ensure all trades are booked into front office primary trading systems in accordance with internal policy and regulatory requirements
Ensure all transactions deliver fair outcome for our clients and do not cause disruption to market transparency and/or order, and are in line with HSBC Code of Conduct

Requirements

Experience and demonstrated understanding of financial markets and knowledge of derivative products.
Focus on transparent and comprehensive communication with various stakeholders including team members, sales teams and support functions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills
Familiar with pricing and valuation methodologies in rates products
Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and strong decision making skills
