Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and well organised individual with a passion for research and a keen interest in developing and supporting commercial and non-commercial public health research within the University Health Board and with partners.


The post holder will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, nurses, public health specialists and health psychologists on the 'Think Quit' study at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

Think Quit aims to work with nurses in CTM UHB to co-produce & pilot test a behaviourally-informed, evidence-based intervention, which empowers nurses to promote smoking cessation amongst patients in hospital settings, in line with the Help Me Quit (HMQ) in Hospital model.


The Clinical Research Specialist Officer will support with research activities including participant recruitment, data collection (including; interviews, focus groups, survey, workshops and evaluation data), data analysis and preparing reports and publications.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family.
