An exciting opportunity has become available at Giants Community Trust, the official charity of Huddersfield Giants Rugby Club.We are looking to recruit a passionate individual who will support on our Holiday Camp delivery that engages children from all ages located at our home, The Zone.
Giants Community Trust delivers sports and education-based initiatives into the community. Our aims are to inspire, create opportunities, promote being active, and build a stronger community where everyone belongs.We are looking for a Casual Coach to support with our Holiday Camp Delivery to provide sport and fitness sessions to children during the school holidays.

Casual PE and Sports Coach
Position Description:
The post holder is responsible for the implementation and delivery of various sporting activities including, but not limited to, Rugby League, Cheerleading, Gymnastics, and Multi-Sports to children aged from 5-12 years old.
The post holder will work collaboratively with the coaching staff to deliver high quality sessions to children and will demonstrate a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn and develop.
Role Requirements and Duties:
- To work collaboratively with other HGCT staff to ensure that all programmes are delivered to the highest possible standard.
- To carry out administrative duties such as attendance registers, incident reports, risk assessments, and camp monitoring and evaluation forms.
- To report to the Camps Manager when required.
- Create a safe environment for the participants for the camps.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high quality sports coaching sessions to children.
- Understand HGCT safeguarding policies and procedures to safeguard children from harm.
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and safe to use as well as correctly stored after each session.
- To develop and encourage children to live and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Hold at least 1 years' experience of coaching in a sports setting.
- Have experience of coaching in a wide range of environments such as community clubs, schools, and clubs.
- Hold an NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate.
- Ability to actively inspire children to lead happier and healthier lives.
- Be passionate about working with children.
- A knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
- Display the ability to work as part of a team and show selfmotivation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement high quality and creative sessions for children to engage in, focusing on a childcentered approach.
Desirable:
- An ability to keep and maintain records.
- Current enhanced DBS check, Safeguarding Children and First Aid Certificate.
- Full Clean UK Driving License and access to own car.
- Adaptable and flexible work approach.
- Experience of working with children aged 512 years old.
- Experience in delivering sessions in Rugby League, Cheerleading, Gymnastics, and Multi-Sports.
Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract
Salary:
£10.00-£15.00 per hour
