YOUR ROLEAs a Customs Gateway Operator you will report into the Customs Team Leader to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded internally and externally. As part of the Customs team, you will an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise to support noncompliance, fines, penalties and target zero.
Working hours: Rotational basis, 2 weeks 6am 2:30pm and 2 weeks 12pm 8:30pm 1 in every 4 Saturday's to be worked.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?- Ability to understand and complete Import & Export declarations and transit movements.

To have an awareness of the quality assurance procedures and ensure they are followed.
Ensure all Work Procedures are reviewed regularly and updated where required.
Check closely that work carried out complies with standard as defined in the work procedures.
Identify waste in processes, continuously driving and delivering improvements which will positively impact productivity (production) levels.
Support all growth and actively participate in creating innovative solutions and share best practice and knowledge.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?- HM Revenue & Customs knowledge to include classification, reclaims, websites.

Customs systems knowledge (ICE or Ricardo would be beneficial).
