Here at Artizan we are looking for a Project Suport worker, who can help assist our disabled young trainees at our cafe site in Harrogate town centre, working with a small kitchen and Front of House team to include volunteers and members with learning disabilities.
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and very high quality food, so a love of light bite food, baking and building a rapport with customers is essential We are a new and exciting addition to the town offering a very simple modern South-American themed lunch menu of salads and sandwiches, all freshly prepared with an emphasis on sustainability, fair trade and ethical processes.
You must be happy to work with a diverse team with a range of skills and abilities.
Full training will be provided on working with people with disabilities, preparing our menu and processes.
You will work alongside the support/training staff to help in the cafe and kitchen together as one project; reporting directly to our cafe manager who will guide all your procedures and responsibilities and be your line manager.
Responsibilities of a Project support worker:
To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment:
To maintain effective communication and liaison with members, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality:
To support members with their tasks within the kitchen and front of house:
To maintain accurate notes and records of progress and achievement as and when required:
To work as part of a leadership team to provide high quality support
You will required to have DBS checks for this role
