Design Engineer Mechanically Biased

31.85 PAYE / 42 Umb

Darlington

12 month contract
Advantage Resourcing are working with a large well known Engineering company who designs, manufactures, and distributes engines. Due to increase of workload and new projects, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on Engines

Hybrid working.Depending on where the project is, you will be required to work onsite a few days a month.


Job Summary
Design and development for engineering assignments including products, parts, components, systems, or portions of major projects.


This role effectively communicates the capability of a design concept to meet cross-functional requirements including assessment of alternative and competitive design concepts and works effectively across cross-functional disciplines to develop corporate andcustomer requirements including those required to resolve product issues.


Must-have competencies for this role:


  • Prior Senior or Lead Engineer with work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with technical problem solving and quality decision making experience._
- _Knowledge of CAD / CREO tools is preferred._

  • Engine system or component development ownership
  • Recent experience with ICE (Industrial Combustion Engines)
  • 3D CAD Modelling and design skills
  • Independently work with all internal and external stakeholders (supplier, manufacturing etc.) to develop assigned system or component
  • Engine component or system analysis experience is a must

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
