We are seeking to appoint an individual who is able to hit the ground running with their skills and experience in Business Intelligence.


This is an exciting time to join the Performance and Business Intelligence Team, and to support the implementation of the Council's strategic Vision for 2024 as well as providing effective business intelligence.

This is well supported utilising dashboard technology to give transparency to officers, members, and citizens, on how the Council is performing.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Working as part of a wider team of support service colleagues to deliver new systems and processes that improve the way in which the Council's services work and its systems operate and managing a subset of this team to deliver the Business Intelligence requirements.
  • Actively check the quality of data and where concerns are identified to proactively take steps to make improvements or to recommend solutions to improve data quality.
  • Actively promote selfservice options and contribute towards reducing the demand for standard management information reports.
  • Ensure that information is accurate, timely and presented in a way that is easy to understand and accessible. That raw data is analysed and reports contain sufficient and appropriate narrative so conclusions can be easily drawn from the information presented.
  • Be expected to maintain high standards of customer care in the context of the Council's Core Values, to uphold the Equality and Diversity, Policy and to participate in training activities necessary to this post.
