Your role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Waste and Resources Team for an experienced Business Support Officer.

This is a busy, multi-faceted role working for a dynamic team which oversees the waste contracts for the management and disposal of municipal waste from Greater Manchester.

We handle around 4% of the UKs municipal waste.

This is approximately 1.1 million tonnes of waste and recycling each year from over a million households from the metropolitan districts of Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford (Wigan operates as a unitary authority and administers its own disposal arrangements).

The waste contracts include the operation and maintenance of 35 waste facilities located on 27 sites including 20 Household Waste Recycling Centres.

The post holder will contribute to the goals and objectives of the Business Support Team through the provision of a high quality business support service which is customer focused, flexible, timely and confidential.

Please refer to the Role Profile for further information.
