Fundraising & Volunteer Coordinator ( part time 21hrs p/w)

SensationALL

  • We are a small charity with BIG dreams, many of which are happening in the immediate future, and we need a creative and personable individual to help us grow our fundraising income and support our wonderful volunteers._

  • We are looking for an individual with the "SensationALL spark" who can really make this new post their own, and who is happy to be involved in our fundraising events as well as supporting the administration and planning of the department._


Part time on a flexible basis (occasional evening work will be required) both office and home working is available for this post.


Role Description

Location:
Based primarily at SensationALL, Old Schoolhouse, Westhill, with home working where appropriate


Hours:21 hours per week (flexible working, typically over 3 days but allowing weekend and evenings as required)


Salary - £24,500 pro rata

Fundraising & Marketing Manager


Job Purpose

  • To assist with achieving the charity's income targets from community fundraising, events, and donations in addition to facilitating a volunteer programme that is beneficial to both the charity and volunteers.
  • Fundraising to maximise all opportunities and proactively raise awareness of SensationALL amongst community groups, individuals, and companies.
  • As the first point of contact for fundraisers and donors you will ensure excellent customer service and support is offered whilst building relationships and thanking all donors in order to encourage repeat donations/support.
  • Working alongside the Fundraising & Marketing Manager to effectively plan and execute SensationALL events ensuring they are profitable and successful.
  • To manage the charity's volunteer programme to ensure recruitment, development, and support of volunteers of all types and for a variety of purposes.
  • Oversee the logístical scheduling of volunteer shifts for service support and at events, effectively liaising with other departments to ensure volunteers are trained, coached, and supported sufficiently.

Main duties

Fundraising:

  • Manage all community fundraising related correspondence and initial enquiries
  • Support the delivery of a calendar of fundraising campaigns and activities and proactively signup participants.
  • Assist the Fundraising & Marketing Manager in organising, coordinating, and delivering SensationALL events of all sizes.
  • Support the production detailed and comprehensive event/campaign related administration to coordinate fundraiser's bookings, sponsorship payments or invoices.
  • Secure support from a wide range of community groups (e.g., schools/YPI groups, sports clubs, retail businesses, rotary clubs etc.) proactively approaching them, giving presentations, and sharing information on the charity.
  • Work to targets and reporting deadlines
  • Proactively seek donations of prizes and vouchers for raffles and auctions when necessary.
  • Manage supporter/donor mailing lists.
  • Compile and distribute fundraising newsletters and other communications.
  • Ensure all donors and fundraisers are thanked in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively research community fundraising opportunities.
  • Create social media content, scheduling posts and monitoring reach.
  • Update the website with event and campaign information.
  • Manage giving platforms (e.g. Just Giving).
  • Count, bank and record cash donations.
  • Any other charity related administrative tasks.

Volunteering:

  • Recruit volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds by advertising opportunities in the community.
  • Manage the volunteer database and associated administration (e.g., PVG Disclosure checks, data & media consent forms etc.).
  • Follow the induction process for new volunteers.
  • Oversee the scheduling of volunteers, ensuring efficient communication of shifts, tasks and expectations.
  • Monitor and track volunteer activity and performance, providing reports or case studies as required.
  • Support all volunteer training by liaising with other departments to ensure volunteers meet our minimum requirements while highlighting areas of development.
  • Manage and deliver regular volunteer events e.g., recruitment open events, social evenings and appreciation events.

Governance

  • Comply with the charity's policies and procedures at all times.
  • Promote SensationALL's aims, objectives and outcomes continually through professional working practice.
