Electronics Service Engineer (Clinical Technologist)

Salary Band 5 £27,055- £32,934


We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to join our group of Electro-medical Engineering Team in the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) to carry out service and repair on a wide range of medical equipment.


Based at the Royal United Hospital the successful applicant will be expected to work at the RUH and to travel within the local area to carry out duties as required at other healthcare establishments.


You will be qualified to City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering and have experience in maintaining and repairing complex electronic equipment.

You will have good practical skills and sound knowledge of equipment maintenance. Specific Hospital medical equipment experience is not required as training will be given.


Duties include being responsible for the planned maintenance and repair of medical equipment including carrying out inspections and electrical safety tests.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will be expected to drive the department vehicle therefore a current driving licence is essential.
