Full Job Description,

The role is an independent living role, where you will need to work a mixture of days/ evenings and sleep ins.

Level 3 in social care, but working towards the qualification or relevant experience will also be desirable.

Enhanced DBS required

Target user group:
Girls aged 16-18 who require a moderate
- intense level of assistance to prepare them with the emotional, practical and academic competencies to achieve independence.

Looked after children (LAC)

care leavers

Young people involved in criminal justice system/ vulnerable to criminal exploitation

UASC (unaccompanied Asylum - Seeking children)

Young people exhibiting emotional and behavioural issues


Role:

You would need to formulate care plans with young people, construct packages of care to meet their needs and for the direct day to day support and housing management tasks such as coordinating health and safety and maintenance issues for young people living at the unit and support to move on to independent living.

To have specific key worker responsibility working with young people on a 1:1 basis to complete meaningful tasks based on their independent life skills and becoming a care leaver.

This would mean helping young people enrol in college courses, support them in their endevours. Help and conduct the unit to be cleaned and kept. To communicate stock requirements for sufficient supplies (household goods, food items, stationary etc.). Being a positive role model and help with guidance while they are transitioning to an adult.
