Overview

Working closely with our clients Education department, the role will deliver on core elements of their programme. This incorporates supporting Club Community Organisations' (CCOs) delivery across them, English Football League (EFL) and National League.

Theposition will coordinate relevant aspects of the grants process for your programmes including grant documentation, performance monitoring and gathering of insight and best practice.

The role

  • Work with their Programme Manager to ensure the daytoday delivery is effective and of sufficient quality and deemed value for money, in accordance with the programmes' minimum operating standards and any other contractual obligations as set out by theirBoard and/or funding partners.
  • Help to deliver and manage their programme regular oversight activity including all grant management processes, report reading and assessments, system management and quality assurance for CCOs. This may include supporting other school/educationbased projectsfunded by them.
  • As required, provide a secretariat function for the programmes' Operational and Strategic meetings and help shape programme design and delivery for funded education programmes.
  • Work with the Education Programmes team (and wider ) to deliver a range of programme events and competitions including their Football tournaments, and work closely with their colleagues and external consultants to develop and deliver events and competitions.
  • Lead and facilitate regular network meetings/forums/learning and development opportunities for CCO staff to come together to share learning, best practice and/or receive training. This will also include planning and delivering national conferences and regionalgroup networks.
  • Build and manage relationships with staff at a range of levels from CCOs throughout to ensure that their needs and the needs and programme requirements are met.
  • Support the Senior Education Programmes Manager to develop and maintain relationships with key partners including them, digital and resource specialists, independent evaluators and other partners to engage them in supporting the development of programmes,attending meetings with them as required.
  • Work with CCOs, statutory bodies and partners to develop a central bank of resources and toolkits to distribute across the network via multiple programmes, ensuring these meet practical requirements of participants as well as each programme's brand guidelines.
  • Performance manage the CCOs' effective use of the selected monitoring systems and provide regular detailed reporting on the full range of CCO delivery, looking at delivery information, using peer feedback, research and outcomes and impact data.
  • Work with their colleagues to effectively support with crossprogramme elements such as equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), training, events and social action.
  • Consult with the Safeguarding Manager to understand and support any safeguarding and risk requirements of the programmes and CCOs' delivery.
  • Work with other programme and operations teams to develop a coordinated approach including continuous professional development, quality assurance, training and events.
  • Undertake, and report back from, visits to CCOs to see delivery on the ground as part of an ongoing quality assurance process.
  • Work with their Communities, Communications and Digital teams to provide relevant information and identify best practice/case studies for PR purposes, events and develop programme specific branding, ensuring CCOs meet branding guidelines.
  • Ensure they are connected to other initiatives, policies and organisations working in the same fields through participation in a range of relevant external forums and networks.
  • Share in their values and participate as a full member of their team, and where appropriate, carry out other duties as may reasonably be required giving support to other members of the team at busy times.
Requirements for the role

  • Project management, planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a complex network of stakeholders
  • Experience of working in the education, voluntary, community, and/or sports sector
  • Understanding of the school environment, preferably at a strategic level
  • An understanding of measuring impact, both qualitatively and quantitatively, preferably in an education setting
  • Ability to work under pressure, make sound judgement calls and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate well to a range of audiences, and using different mediums, with oral and written skills to an excellent standard
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with excellent planning and organisational ability
  • High level of computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office packages
  • An understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and how they relate to the role
  • Willingness to travel within England and Wales as and when appropriate
  • A commitment to safeguarding, and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check will need to be completed
