Morgan McKinley, Cambridgeshire are proud to be supporting a fast-paced and growing hospitality business in Takeley.

They are seeking an experienced, hands on and confident Bookkeeper who can take real ownership of the workload and be the main point of contact for Finance.

The permanent Bookkeeper role in Takeley is an office based role.

Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team whilst reporting to the Managing Director.

This position comes with a lot of autonomy as you will help improve financial performance as well as advise key stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
***- Being the main point of call for any finance queries/ questions

Precise bookkeeping and maintaining financial records
Accounts Payable (Inputting invoices, ensuring payments are on time and recording each transaction)
Accounts receivable (Client invoices, credit control)
Preparation of monthly management accounts and insightful financial reports (eg. Profit and Loss)
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Manage monthend and yearend close processes
Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
Additional finance duties: payroll, VAT returns, audits, etc

Person Specification

Proven experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
AAT qualification or equivalent experience is required
Exceptional communication, time management, and attention to detail
Strong skills in bank reconciliation and financial recordkeeping
Ability to work collaboratively and also autonomously
