Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists for permanent positions within mainstream schools, specialist schools and colleges in Surrey.
Our client can consider final year students' who are eligible for HCPC registration later this year.The successful Speech and Language Therapists will be based in Woking but work in the community covering educational settings in Woking, Surrey Heath and Runnymede.
These are full-time positions at 36 hours per week although our client can also consider part-time applicants who can offer a minimum of 3 days per week.
The role:
- Managing and prioritising a caseload of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Conducting assessments to identify speech, language and communication needs.
- Planning, delivering and evaluating individualised therapy programmes.
- Measuring pupil progress through educational outcomes and therapy specific measuring tools
The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:
- Has recently completed or is due to complete a Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy in the coming months.
- HCPC registered or eligible for HCPC registration in the coming months.
