My client, a local authority based in West London are looking for a Planning Enforcement Officer within their Enforcement team.

You will be brought in to provide a high level service for the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control.

You will be joining as a Planning Enforcement Officer in a growing team who are looking to expand their staffing levels by adding new members of staff to handle a high backlog of cases in a busy service.

Duties for the Planning Enforcement Officer role will be:

To support the delivery of an efficient, effective and customer focussed Planning Service.
To take responsibility for carrying out a high volume of inspections on alleged breaches of planning control, recognising breaches of planning control and making preliminary decisions on expediency and appropriate course of action.
Responsible for producing case closure notes for senior officers where breaches of planning control have not been identified or in instances where it is not deemed expedient to progress a formal investigation.
