What to expect:

Anglia route is looking for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join their Ipswich depot. The Logistics Co-ordinator will maintain, control and supervise the supply, storage and use of plant, materials and consumables. They will provide facilities management services for the delivery unit.


About the role (External):


You'll be responsible for:


  • Lead and direct the Logistics team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures.
  • Run development of individuals and the engagement of the team.
  • Handle the arrangements for staff safety and competence.
  • Identify and implement safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages and impact on work delivery.
  • Maintain all allocated stores and compound in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Minimise wastage of materials and manage the disposal of waste in accordance with standards.
  • Identify and report on recurring defects in plant and materials.
  • Manage maintenance and calibration of small plant, tools and equipment.
  • Check that all unoccupied, operational and occupied buildings are maintained to standards.
  • Act as the client for accommodation and building projects.
  • Drive improvement and efficiencies in the management of small plant, equipment and materials.
  • Undertake an agreed programme of safety tours and staff surveillance.

You must have:


  • Knowledge of logistics processes and techniques, plant and tools specification and Environmental Legislation
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant Company IT systems

It would be great if you have:
  • Knowledge of operational railway
  • Knowledge of contractual arrangements with suppliers
  • Good understanding of maintenance processes and delivery techniques
  • Knowledge of CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.

Network Rail adheres to a
structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range
:Band 4B; £34,050 - £38,305.
