Job Overview:


As part of this role, you will be assisting in the overseeing all aspects of construction projects at the assigned site.

Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful completion of the project within the specified timeframes, budget, and quality standards.

You will lead and coordinate a team of construction professionals and subcontractors to execute the project efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

Plan, organize, and manage the construction project from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.


Team Leadership:
Supervise and motivate the on-site construction team, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure high performance and productivity.

Health and Safety:

Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and promoting a safe working environment for all workers.


Quality Assurance:

Ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications by conducting inspections and implementing quality control measures.


Budget Management:
Monitor project expenses and costs, controlling expenditures to stay within budgetary limits.

Procurement:
Coordinate with the procurement team to source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for the project.

Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on progress and address any concerns.


Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical paths and potential delays, and taking proactive measures to keep the project on track.


Problem Solving:
Address any on-site issues or challenges promptly and efficiently, making decisions that support project objectives.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and records of materials and equipment used.

Environmental Compliance:
Ensure that construction activities adhere to environmental regulations and sustainable practices.

Conflict Resolution:

Handle any conflicts or disputes that may arise on the construction site, seeking resolutions that align with project goals.


Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in construction processes and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Team Training:
Provide training and guidance to the on-site team, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.

Client Satisfaction:
Strive to exceed client expectations, addressing any client concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience throughout the project.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Studying a bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Indepth understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Salary:
£11.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus

Experience:

Project Management: 1 year (preferred)
