Corporate Tax Assistant


This is a brilliant opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong interpersonal skills to work alongside our in-house Corporate Tax Adviser within a fast-growing wealth management company.

The role will primarily support the administrative tasks within our Corporate Tax offering while building strong relationships with clients and Financial Advisers within the business.

It is an ideal position for someone who has an interest in Finance/Accounting and has a proven track record of going above and beyond.


Job role and responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to FLM's Corporate Tax Adviser
  • General bookkeeping duties:
  • Bookkeeping entries using Xero
  • Processing sales invoices; receipts and payments
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Reconciling supplier and debtor accounts
  • Helping to prepare P&L accounts and balance sheets
  • Logging records received from clients and checking the information is relevant and complete
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Make and accurately record client appointments/meetings
  • Set up and maintain filing systems as work progresses
  • Communicate and liaise, both written and verbally, with clients
  • Help to onboard new clients by preparing relevant forms
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, and the general public

Relevant Experience and Required Qualities

  • A desire to improve technical knowledge and study towards the relevant qualifications
  • Desirable to have two years of tax/bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in undertaking administrative tasks within an office environment
  • Experience within a professional services organisation
  • Strong IT skills
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
  • Attention to detail with absolute precision
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage high workloads and prioritise appropriately
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
