FullFibre is seeking an outstanding Asset Controller to join our telecommunications finance team.


As Asset Controller you will be primarily responsible for recording, controlling, analysing and reporting the business's large network fixed asset base and materials inventory; supporting the Finance Manager and working closely with the finance and procurement teams to support decision-making, helping to prepare budgets, contributing to financial business cases and tracking financial performance to help drive the company to achieve its financial goals.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare assetbased analyses for financial statements and reports, including budgets, variance analysis and monthly management accounts.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in overseeing all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, highlighting any variances and making recommendations or corrective action where necessary.
  • Conduct financial analysis on the assets of the business and prepare monthend reports.
  • Work closely with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements concerning asset management.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate fixed asset register.
  • Able to periodically travel to Regional sites in the UK to review Asset Inventories
  • Assist procurement manager with inventory costings and monthend inventory reporting

Skills, Qualifications and Experiences:


  • Experience working within a fastpaced finance department
  • ACCA, CIMA OR or AAT part qualified (or willing to work towards)
  • Robust understanding of financial and business process controls
  • Good understanding of accounting processes and principles
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and numeric accuracy.
  • Robust organisation skills and task management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data.
  • Datadriven, analytical and sceptically curious mindset, with a demonstrable behaviour to validate data through reconciliation and data corroboration.
