Morgan Philips are delighted to be bringing to market a brand new role of Administrator/ Junior Credit Administrator looking for an entry level role as a Credit Controller.


This role is working for a leading Scottish law firm based in Edinburgh where it would suit someone from an Administration background looking to move into finance opportunity within credit control.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To provide assistance to the Credit Control Manager and Client Cash team in the preparation of accounting entries relating to fee payment and cash allocation
  • To provide assistance to the Credit Control Manager in the preparation of faxes, reminder letters and memos to Partners regarding the uplift of monies from the Client Ledger to enable fees to be settled.
  • To provide assistance in ensuring the client ledger within accounting system is properly maintained at all times
  • To carry out reminder letters.
  • To carry out other finance related tasks as directed by the Partnership Accountant, Deputy Partnership Accountant and Credit Control Manager.
Skills/Qualifications

Previous Credit Control experience would be advantageous and administrative experience is required.

You should be flexible, self-motivated, highly competent, and able to work on your own initiative. You will have the ability to prioritise workload and have the ability to work to deadlines. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Strong pc skills are essential and full training will be provided on the various systems used throughout the Firm.


A high level of discretion and confidentiality is needed for this role as you will be exposed to highly sensitive information.
