    **Head of Production Role**


    The Head of Production will be a key hire for our company, which specializes in inhalation and respiratory drugs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the niche areas within pharmaceuticals.

    This role is crucial for the business and involves working closely with the Lead Engineer to qualify manufacturing and production equipment. The successful candidate will build and lead their own team from scratch.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Develop, execute, and plan the qualification of the production facility to meet pharmaceutical cGMP standards.
    • Lead and manage the production team, ensuring daily operations within the production facility comply with cGMP regulations.
    • Implement KPIs, SOPs, and training programs for the Production Team.
    • Collaborate with various departments to explore potential new business opportunities using existing resources.
    • Work closely with QA and QC to address manufacturing issues and implement improvements.
    • Train, develop, and recruit staff within the department.

    Requirements


    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Over 10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Production, with at least 5 years in a management position.
    • Experience in the inhalation industry, specifically with Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs).
    • A background in setting up new cGMP manufacturing facilities.
    • Proven experience with budgeting, supplier management, and stakeholder relations.
    • Knowledge of taking pharmaceutical drugs from development to commercial manufacturing.
