We are currently recruiting for our client based in Ferryhill who are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their Team.

The role of the Supervisor will be to oversee a team of approximately 20 staff members, delegate tasks, have heavy involvement withplanning and ensure daily targets are met.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To set and maintain a structured approach to the daily running of the laser cutting and punching section
  • To set and maintain the highest standard of health and safety awareness for all those working in the area
  • Solely responsible for the quality of parts manufactured in the section, ensuring complex jobs have clear standard operating procedures completed before next production run
  • Develop and facilitate a continuous improvement culture
  • Ensure accurate data collection and recording of performance, in line with production targets
  • Ensure regular checks on operator hourly performance; maintaining a high profile in the work area focusing on complex jobs
  • KPI's, planning, inspecting and working to schedules

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge of laser cutting and/or punching machines
  • Sheet metal experience
  • Supervising or Management skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design is essential. You will have an excellent knowledge of design visualisation software such as CAD/CAM and MS Office
  • You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and have the capability of handling several projects simultaneously
  • The ability to understand a wide range of technical issues and demonstrate a general knowledge of all aspects of the development process is required
38.5 hours per week - Monday-Thursday, 8.00am-5.00pm, Friday, 8.00am-12.30pm.
