About the Role
DS Smith are recruiting for a
Network Architect - Information & Technology Shared Servicesto take responsibility for supporting the research, analysis, design, proposal, documentation and delivery of solutions in a wide range of technology and digital projects to support the priorities of the business.
About you
Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions this individual will have strong technical knowledge in the network and network security domain whilst having the ability to work across diverse organisations through communication and engagement with peers, seniormanagers and business stakeholders.
Requirements:

Essentials_
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience in IT and business/industry
- Strong technical knowledge that includes Data Centre / Enterprise networking, WAN/LAN/WLAN, Routing, Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAN optimisation, Proxy, VPN services, Load Balancing
- Experience in large, multinational, crossfunctional teams influencing seniorlevel management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization
- Display a strong customer focus background understanding the business needs and good business judgement
- Be up to date with the latest technologies and IT trends
- Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements
- Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills with good stakeholder engagement
- Able to manage delivery of objectives in line with agreed time scales
- Ability to manage a workload of multiple projects
Desirable_
- Network Architecture
- Cloud
- AWS and/or Azure
- Architecture design and implementation experience with Hybrid-Cloud networking (HSCN, ExpressRoute, MultiCloud networks, DirectConnect, VPN's
- Experience in Enterprise scale cloud migrations
- Knowledge and understanding of architecture management techniques in the areas of migration planning, implementation, change management and governance
