Reporting to the Director - Human Resources at Kohler Mira, you will provide comprehensive HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on a wide variety of operational employment related issues.

HR Generalist Responsibilities:
  • Point of contact for all ER related matters across the business
  • Short and Long-Term Absence Management, Investigation, Disciplinary, Grievance issues.
  • Supports Managers as required with case management, including active involvement as needed in meetings/hearings.
  • Manages roll out of annual Kohler Ethics Training programme across the business.
  • Reviews and contributes to company ER policies and procedures in pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • Supports HR Manager and Senior HR Generalist at Trade Union meetings as required.
  • Reviews current Right to Work in the UK procedures across the business and completes a full file audit. Recommends improvements.
  • Support with handling any early conciliation notifications or employment tribunals, working closely with key stakeholders to provide case related documentation and insights.
  • Undertake special projects on behalf of Corporate and local Human Resources teams in support of strategic initiatives.

Skills/Requirements


This position would suit someone who is hands on, enjoys variety and is motivated to equip leaders for the future.

An appreciation of best practice and the added value that HR can provide is essential.

  • It is essential to be a relationship builder who can quickly gain credibility and respect at all levels.
  • Ideally degree educated or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally part CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD, with at least 3 years' HR advisory experience in a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive (relevant and up to date) understanding of employment law.
  • Can independently work through employee relations issues with an awareness of the dynamics of a unionised environment.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative, be comfortable with complexity and change, and possess good personal time management skills.
  • Demonstrates a customer service approach, whilst continuing to coach managers for the future.
  • Demonstrates an ability to push back/ challenge managers in an appropriate way.
  • A keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Practices selfdevelopment and establishes a cycle of continuous learning.
