The Compan_y:
_**Our client is a local cancer charity.


They provide the following services:
Digital Breast Screening, Support & Therapeutic Services, M.O.T. Health Checks, Health Promotion Programmes.

They deliver services to local communities and workplaces and onboard their mobile unit, the Big Bus, which travels to 200 locations throughout Northern Ireland annually.


The Role:


The key role and responsibility of the post is to target individuals and groups to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of income generated through the planning, development, promotion and sale of Overseas Treks, Activities and Events.

The cultivating of relationships, the delivery of excellent supporter care and the development of a repeat client base.


Responsibilities:


  • All aspects of CRM and managing all operational aspects of Overseas Treks and Adventure Activities including abseils and the 7 Peaks Challenge.
  • Ensure that the fundraising operational requirements are delivered and the income targets achieved. This will require the development of an income growth strategy and in conjunction with third party suppliers the delivery of income generating, initiatives, activities and events.
  • Support the Community and Public Fundraising Manager in the development of an annual fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and plan to maximise income from the above sources.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of the Annual "Breast Foot Forward Walk".
  • In conjunction with the Community & Public Fundraising Manager develop sustainable adventure style events and activities targeting individuals and groups.
  • In conjunction with the Community & Public Fundraising Manager assist with all other Fundraising activities and income generation that falls within the broad category of "Community and Public".
  • Ensure that on all occasions our client is an exemplar of Customer Care and fully adheres to all relevant Fundraising Regulations and associate legislation. E.G Data Protection and GDPR 201
  • Ensure that all fundraising and corporate processes and procedures are strictly followed and adhered to.
  • The production of publications, promotional materials and social media posts relating to areas of responsibility.
  • Assist with any other duties within the Fundraising Department as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:


  • A minimum of two years' experience in fundraising, marketing or sales role not including voluntary workplace experience
  • Relevant thirdlevel qualification or equivalent OR a minimum of 4 years' experience working in fundraising, marketing or sales
  • Experience of relationship management with individuals, event participants, and organisations
  • Experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising or marketing campaigns targeted towards a range of audiences
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, manage workload, multitask and work to deadlines
  • High level of experience and competence with IT including all Microsoft packages
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative ability to demonstrate experience of creative planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • Prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the role
  • The ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Northern Ireland hold a full current driving licence with business insurance and have access to a car, or some other form of transport, to allow the post holder to carry out the duties of the post in full.

Desirable Requirements:


  • An interest in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling etc
  • Previous experience of public speaking
  • Experience in budget management
  • Three years or more experience in corporate marketing or fundraising
  • Relevant degree level qualification
  • Knowledge of Raisers Edge software
  • Experience in creating promotional materials / competence with some design software packages
