Nursery Practitioner

Would you like to work for a School that blends traditional values to new, innovative thinking in teaching and learning?

Battle Abbey School requires a Nursery Practitioner to work 50 weeks per year (full-time) with a varied shift pattern, in our Nursery provision in Bexhill.

You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role and hold a minimum of Level 2/3 qualification.

Some of your duties will include;

The care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs to ensure they reach their full potential
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons
Positive management of children's behaviour
Providing a good role model for students
Working with the Nursery staff on planning and preparation of activities
Ensuring effective communication within the Nursery
Keeping of development records and observations to ensure that Learning Journeys are kept up to date
Preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the playrooms, garden, kitchen and equipment including kitchen and laundry duties
Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager, Nursery Deputy or Nursery Assistant Deputy Manager
