About The Role:


Training salary £23,730 p.a. following successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma salary will rise to Band E £28,395 - £35,126 p.a.


If you have a keen interest in and enthusiasm for a career in CYPF early intervention mental health services this could be the first step; undertaking specialist training in low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy whilst working in practice to deliver positive outcomes with CYPF in a supportive, innovative and committed team.


Trainee EMHPs will be undertaking a year in supported part-time study at Exeter University (remote) developing skills and building confidence in mental health practice and supporting schools to enhance the approach to emotional wellbeing alongside working in the team to develop and deliver high quality care and services to CYPF in local schools and communities.


About You:


Trainee EMHP's must undertake a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Practice in Education Settings, a Level 7 qualification at Exeter University (fully remote) commencing January 2024.

During term time you will be required to undertake training on average two days per week whilst working within the team 3 days per week developing the skills and enhancing the knowledge gained in training.


On successful completion of training, Trainee EMHP's will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities and work as a qualified EMHP as autonomous and responsible practitioners within their scope of practice, alongside education colleagues, delivering schools' overarching approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.
