Description

About us
First of all, we are AMAZING Kemble at Home is a very special place to work.

Unlike many care companies, we are not a franchise - Kemble at Home is very much a family business, still owned and run by the same family who started the business almost 30 years ago.

We are big enough to be an important local care provider but small enough that we all know and look after each other.

It is important to us that our employees, both carers and office staff, are happy. Our care managers have created a fun, friendly office environment to work in and carers enjoy calling in to our lovely be welcomed with a warm drink in the winter or an iced lolly in the warmer weather - and where they are often greeted by a waggy tailed dog

On to the visiting carer role that you are interested in.

Our new carers attend a 4 day training course, here at our offices in Rotherwas, and they are paid while they are on the course.

Our trainers Jason, Kelly and Jean take you through everything that you need to know to become a fabulous Kemble at Home carer.

Or, if you are already an experienced carer with a care certificate, we can offer a shorter training session. Jason, our Head of Training, is a qualified teacher and our training has 100% positive feedback. Learning and laughter are the words that sum up our training.

Our carers want to spend their time caring for clients, not sitting in their cars between calls - so 98% of calls are for a minimum of 1 hour.

Calls are varied, you could be helping a client to get out of bed, walking a client's dog (we have one client whose cat is walked on a harness by the carer), doing the laundry, taking the client shopping or simply providing companionship.

Carers are paid monthly and the pay rate is £12.44 per hour Monday to Friday, £13.00 at weekends, £14.56 on bank holidays and £19.44 on special bank holidays such as Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

We have both full-time and part-time hours available.

We are looking for carers to work from approximately 5:00pm until 10:00pm as many evenings a week as they would like.

Finally, you would benefit from a 40p per mile mileage allowance, a pension scheme and 28 days holiday, pro rata.

If you want to be trained to be a professional carer of the very highest quality, please apply.
