About the Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a
Supervisor to join our
Day Support Service based in Dundee. This is a
full time permanent post offering
37 hours per week.


About the service:


Dundee Support Services is registered under one branch within the Care Inspectorate covering more than one location - registered under Support Service without Care at Home.

Dundee Support Services operates from 8am until 10pm over 7 days.

  • The Hillview base offers a more therapeutic type of support using a base where there are activity spaces available to support on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.
  • Community Links is a dropin space offering a place to rest, eat or be supported with personal care.


Each person supported is unique and we work in partnership with them, their friends and families and associated health and social work professionals to help overcome everyday challenges and plan for a positive future.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, be able to carry out individualised direct personal care, be confident in dealing with complex challenging behaviour and be able to support the staff team to help the people we support to reach their goals on a daily basis.


This role could be for you if:

  • You have experience with working in large, flexible teams within a social care setting
  • You can be flexible
- able to work days, evenings, and weekends

  • You have experience of supporting culture change in the work environment
  • You have strong IT and office organisation skills
  • You have excellent knowledge and experience of personcentred practice
  • You have the ability to coach and mentor staff
  • You can challenge poor or unsafe practice and to champion good practice and personcentred support for the individuals' using services.
  • You have excellent communication skills to relay complex and challenging information
  • You hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care (or other specialty recognised by the SSSC for registration purposes and must be able to meet and maintain the appropriate SSSC registration requirements and conditions for a Supervisor in a Care at Home / Housing Support Service.
